2023 NCHI Walk/Tournament Sponsorship Page
The purpose of the National Community Health Initiative (NCHI) is to promote education and awareness regarding diseases and health conditions that disproportionately impact communities of color and to eradicate the associated health disparities. Additionally, the NCHI aims to improve the lives of the AEAONMS family and the communities in which we are residents through health promotion, outreach, and advocacy.

Diabetes is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in the United States. While this disease transcends all racial and ethnic boundaries, it has a higher prevalence among minority populations, especially African Americans. Our initiative is to raise awareness concerning Diabetes in the African American communities within our city along with other diseases and health conditions that effect the African American bodies.

Our partnerships with the American Heart Association, National Diabetes Association, Sickle Cell, and many more organizations are primarily geared towards raising funds for these diseases and health conditions and to educate the public about these critical health issues that disproportionately impact people of color and of low socioeconomic status.
